The Glitter Pit was born in May 2025 after a visit to a local antique and collectables emporium. Traders had set up their own little stations all around, and as I looked at what was being sold, I thought: I could do that with my own creations.

I’d been playing with resin for a while and I truly love watching the colours swirl and mix together. It all started with a page holder I made to help with my arthritis while reading, and it has grown into a small business.

I work full time during the day, and in the evenings I head to my studio in Wigan and make whatever comes to mind when I sit down. No rules, no plan, just colour, glitter, and seeing what happens.

I love making chess sets and dominoes, mostly because of the reaction they get. People pick them up and realise they’re nothing like the ones you buy in the shops. Every set is hand-poured, packed with colour, and completely different from the last.

Then there are my Glitter Ghouls: little resin ghosts with randomly found items, glitter, or colour set inside them. Over the past year I’ve built up a small following of people who collect them, and I love that each one is a bit of a surprise.
